Disney branded television sequels Wizards Beyond Waverly Place It will conclude with its third season, which is scheduled to be released this summer. The production of the show will begin next week.
The original series launched the career of Selena Gomez, who is set to make her directorial debut with the premiere of season three. She would also reprise her role as Alex Russo in several episodes throughout the season.

The sequel series debuted on Disney Channel and Disney+ in October 2024 and follows Justin as he adjusts to life without magic. Her world is turned upside down when Alex introduces her to Billie (Janice Lynn Brown), a young magician in training who needs guidance. Gomez appeared as a guest star in the first two seasons.
According to the official logline for season three: “Billy, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of season two, realizes that the only way to save her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family comes together to find Alex, Billy realizes that their combined strength may be the only way the Russos can defeat the evil threatening them.”
