The man accused of killing seven women and dumping their remains at Gilgo Beach and other Long Island sites between 1993 and 2010 pleaded guilty Wednesday, bringing closure to a case that has haunted a New York suburb for decades. Rex Heuerman, 62, who worked as an architect in Midtown Manhattan, pleaded guilty to murdering Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Costello, Megan Waterman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Valerie Mack, Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla. Heuermann also admitted to killing another woman, 34-year-old Karen Vergata, who disappeared in 1996. Josh Zeman, director of ‘The Killing Season’ and host of the podcast ‘Monster: Haunting the Long Island Serial Killer,’ joins “Forbes True Crime” to discuss the case.
