Dakota Mortensen accused former Taylor Frankie Paul of scratching and hitting her during a domestic abuse incident in February that halted filming of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
According to a February 23 report from Utah’s Draper City Police Department, obtained by Page Six, Mortensen’s friend told police the reality star was the victim of a domestic violence assault by his ex-girlfriend.
Mortensen then told police that “two incidents of physical assault involving grabbing, scratching, pushing and hitting occurred,” the report said.
The report also notes that Mortenson was “skeptical” about reporting the incidents due to her ex-husband’s “high public profile” and that police obtained photographs of Mortenson’s “neck scratches”.
Mortensen and Paul dated on and off from 2022-2024 and have a 2-year-old son, Ever.
He has been involved in several domestic violence incidents.
Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was canceled after TMZ published video of their altercation in 2023, after “SLOMMW” abruptly halted filming earlier this month.
In the disturbing video, Paul threw metal chairs at Mortenson, while his 8-year-old daughter, Indi – who was 5 at the time – was heard crying nearby.
Paul was arrested for the 2023 incident and charged with three felonies – one count of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child – as well as one count each of child abuse and criminal mischief.
She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault as part of a plea agreement that stipulated the charge would be reduced to a misdemeanor if she complied with her three years’ probation, and other charges were dismissed.
A third domestic violence incident being investigated by the West Jordan Police Department also involves deportees.
“The West Jordan Police Department is currently investigating an incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen,” a spokesperson for the department told Page Six last week.
“The allegations were reported in late February 2026, and detectives have reviewed the video, believed to have been recorded in mid-2024.”
