McKenzie said, “When (my husband, Patrick Tatopoulos and I) were driving home, I was shocked because I remember looking at the cars ahead of me, and all of a sudden, I could see the sky above me that I couldn’t see before. Because the filler in my brow was so heavy, I couldn’t see. And it’s amazing that I can see so much more in my peripheral now that I couldn’t see before. And so now it’s like, ‘Hey. God, I can see that there is life all around me.’ …
Yes, I went down a slippery slope, but you know what? I take responsibility for continuing down that slippery slope. And I feel very blessed, and very fortunate that Dr. Nassif helped me get this old McKenzie back, if you will. I don’t want to say the old Mackenzie, but this Mackenzie that once was. And I feel very fortunate to be back where I was and not feel self-conscious about this bump over my eye, or this big heavy jaw, or these thick temples. I feel great – I feel very alive again.”
