Todd Monken only needed 20 more minutes.
On Monday, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns was one of two coaches missing from the NFL’s annual coaches photo. While Monken missed the group photo, which was supposed to include all 32 head coaches, it appears it was for a good reason.
According to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN, the photo was taken shortly after a coaches meeting, which Monken skipped to get a fresh cut for the group photo, which was to be taken in the afternoon.
According to reports, the meeting was adjourned early.
As Monken headed to the location for the photo, Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen stopped him to inform him that the photo was taken just 20 minutes before his contest.
However, Monken was not alone. Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was also missing from the photo.
The former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator was hired by the Browns franchise in January on a five-year deal as their 11th head coach since returning to the NFL in 1999. He replaced Kevin Stefanski, who was fired on January 5 after six seasons in Cleveland.
