Alec Baldwin’s 12-year-old daughter Carmen Baldwin trolled her famous dad over his huge age difference with wife Hilaria Baldwin.
“30 Rock” alum took to instagram Friday with a video clip that included him and several of his children, telling them it was his 68th birthday.
“I’m 68 years old; what a way to be 68,” he shared. “My favorite birthday before was 40. That was a while ago.”
Baldwin laughed in surprise as Carmen interjected, “That was a really long time ago.”
“How long ago was that, Carmen?” the “Beetlejuice” actor asked, to which Carmen quipped, “Ummm, so mommy was 14?”
Alec continued to stare silently at the camera with a shocked expression while his children suppressed laughter. In the caption, the Emmy winner joked, “God help me. This is elder abuse.”
In the comment thread, Alec’s eldest child, Ireland Basinger-Baldwin, 30, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger, responded with a row of laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, friend Jeremy Renner wrote, “Happy Birthday Alec. Blessings to you and your family ❤️”
When the actor celebrated his birthday, many fans praised him a lot. “God bless you all Alec! Thank you for giving us so much!!! Have an amazing solar return weekend! We love you 🥳🥂🎂” one person commented, while another said, “Happy Birthday, Alec. Carmen is so quick witted. 🌸❤️”
“That’s some A+ Lydie Donaghey energy 🤣🤣🤣🤣” Yet another person quipped, referring to his “30 Rock” character’s daughter.
Alec married the 42-year-old yoga instructor in 2012. They have since had seven children, including Carmen, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 5, Maria, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
Hilaria – who once said she used to “judge” couples with big age differences before she met Alec – has also revealed her dynamic with the actor.
“Am I his mom? Sometimes I’m his mom. Sometimes,” she told Romper in a 2023 interview.
“At the beginning of our relationship, everyone was like, ‘She must be having daddy issues because she’s married to someone older,'” she continued. “But it’s actually the opposite.”
He also addressed their complex dynamics in a November 2025 interview. “I don’t believe that age is just a number, at least in our situation,” she told Caroline Stanbury during Wednesday’s episode of the “Uncut & Uncensored” podcast.
“There are certain things where I have to look at him and say, ‘He has 26 years of experience,'” she explained. “And sometimes it’s a resiliency, and sometimes it means we need to do a little therapy.”
